In-Person & Telehealth | Morgantown, WV

Pregnancy, birth, and the transition into parenthood can be among life’s most meaningful experiences—and some of its most emotionally complex. From trying to conceive and navigating pregnancy to adjusting to life after birth, the perinatal period can bring profound changes in your identity, relationships, body, routines, and emotional well-being. You may feel excited and grateful while also experiencing anxiety, overwhelm, sadness, uncertainty, or a sense that you don’t quite feel like yourself. Whether you’re struggling with the demands of pregnancy, adjusting to a new baby, processing a difficult birth or loss, or simply finding this transition harder than you expected, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Organic Counseling offers a compassionate, judgment-free space to make sense of what you’re experiencing, develop coping strategies, and feel more supported as you move through this transformative chapter.

Perinatal Mental Health

Infertility & Loss

Infertility and pregnancy loss can bring grief, uncertainty and emotions that can be difficult to put into words. Fertility treatments, miscarriage, stillbirth and the loss of a future that has been hoped can leave lasting emotional impacts.

Therapy can offer a supportive space to process these experiences, honor what has been lost and navigate what comes next.

Pregnancy

This can be a time of significant physical and emotional change. Stress, anxiety, depression, fear, and uncertainty can develop or become more difficult to manage during this time.

Support may be helpful when navigating pregnancy after infertility or loss, concerns about childbirth, changes in identity and relationships, or the emotional transition to parenthood.

Postpartum

The postpartum period can be emotionally and psychologically demanding. Postpartum depression and anxiety, birth trauma, intrusive thoughts, panic, grief, difficulty bonding and feeling overwhelmed or disconnected are concerns that deserve attention.

You may find yourself struggling in ways you didn't expect having difficulty sleeping even when you have the opportunity, constantly worrying, feeling unlike yourself, replaying your birth experience or questioning whether what you're experiencing is normal.
