Feeling caught in a cycle of worry and compulsions?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder can feel entirely disruptive—impacting your thoughts, relationships, and day-to-day life. But you don’t have to navigate it alone.
At Organic Counseling, our specialists provide advanced, evidence-based care—including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—tailored to how OCD uniquely shows up for you. Step into a confidential, deeply affirming space where you can break free from the loop and find real relief.
What is OCD?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition driven by distressing, unwanted intrusive thoughts (obsessions). To neutralize the intense anxiety those thoughts create, the brain drives a powerful urge to perform physical or mental behaviors (compulsions).
This creates an exhausting, repetitive cycle that can feel impossible to break on your own.
OCD looks different for everyone.
Obsessive fears vary wildly from person to person, and themes can often feel frightening, confusing, or deeply taboo. Some of the most common themes include:
Contamination, germs, and cleanliness
Relationships and "relationship doubt" (ROCD)
Organization, symmetry, and "just right" feelings
Unwanted fears of harm to self or others
Religious, moral, or existential concerns
...and many more hidden presentations.
You are not your thoughts.
No matter how intrusive or distressing your themes feel, you don't have to carry them alone. At Organic Counseling, we provide specialized, evidence-based care—including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—tailored entirely to your unique lived experience and goals.
Treatment Options
Evidence-based care designed to help you break the loop and take your life back.
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
The Gold Standard in OCD Treatment
ERP is a well-established, evidence-based treatment for OCD. Through gradual, collaborative practice, you'll learn to face situations, thoughts, or feelings that trigger OCD while resisting compulsions and mental rituals. Over time, this practice can help you build greater tolerance for uncertainty and respond differently to distress without feeling compelled to seek immediate relief.
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Shifting Your Relationship with Thoughts
ACT focuses on changing how you relate to your thoughts and emotions rather than trying to forcefully control them. By learning to make room for discomfort while committing to actions that matter to you, ACT helps you build a meaningful life aligned with your true values. It is especially powerful when integrated alongside ERP.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Restructuring Thoughts and Actions
CBT is a foundational, well-established approach focused on identifying and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns and behavioral loops. Because ERP is a specialized form of CBT tailored specifically for OCD and anxiety, our team utilizes these frameworks to give you practical, real-world tools for lasting change.
